The club have started a new development team for the new season and Manager Mick Mulhern is particularly looking for young players who feel they are good enough to be playing with players who have developed via the Sunderland Girls Centre of Excellence.

"I understand players have a choice regarding their football at a junior level and several players will have decided to remain with local clubs rather than attend a C of Ex", said manager Mulhern.  "However once players reach the age of 16 they really should consider their options depending on their ability".

"If players believe they are good enough and want to fulfill their potential at the highest level, then they should apply for a trial. A date or dates will be confirmed in July".
