Rachel's skydive for Charity -
Take Two

29 November 2013

Sunderland midfielder Rachel Furness makes her second attempt at jumping out of a plane at 12,000ft in aid of the British Heart Foundation after her first was cancelled due to the weather.

The 25 year old from Washington will be taking the plunge tomorrow, weather permitting and said the skydive will be an experience of a lifetime which she hopes will help change people's lives by doing it for such a great cause.

Rachel, despite being scared of heights said "I have decided to throw myself (get pushed) out of a plane and in the process raise money for the British Heart Foundation as itís a charity very close to me. I hope the money raised will go on to save more lives and help develop new ways to fight such a horrible disease."

"From family to friends, I have lost people very close to me, but I have also witnessed small miracles occur due to the help of this foundation."

"I would love to make a difference," she said.  "And help such a great charity do even better things."

Donations for the jump, on Saturday 30th November, can be made at www.justgiving.com/Rachel-Furness or text FRNY66 £5 to 70070
