Women's BUSA Championship Final

The Women's BUSA Cup Final took place today at Loftus Road, where Team Northumbria took on the favourites from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff. The squad contained 10 players from Sunderland.

Team Northumbria have never reached the women's football final and beat Loughborough University in the semi final to take on hot favourites, University of Wales Institute Cardiff, at the home of Queens Park Rangers.
Although Northumbria dominated possession for long periods, a strike by Bethan Price and a penalty save from Jo Price gave UWIC a 1-0 victory over Northumbria in the BUSA Women’s Football Championship Final.
Northumbria threw everything forward in search of a dramatic equaliser but the ball just wouldn’t go in for them, on an afternoon of high tension and high temperatures.
