Jordan Nobbs, a member of SAFC Centre of Excellence, scored a fourth minute opener in England's 3-1 victory over Scotland, at the UEFA Womens Under 19's Final Tournament in France.
However, with England needing a win to reach the semi-finals, they bowed out of the championship, after being held to a draw by Sweden, despite taking the lead.
Jordan went close to get a vital winner for England, but saw her effort hit the woodwork.
In Group B, Germany demolished Scotland 7-0 to finish in first place and now meet Norway for a place in the Final, while Sweden take on Italy.
