GOOD EXERCISE AT LEEDS!
Sunderland WFC pre-season preparations continued, as they travelled to Tadcaster Albion FC, to take on a strong National Division side Leeds Carnegie Ladies, for the second time in as many weeks.
The game ended with a 2-0 victory to Leeds following two first half goals from the home side.
Manager Mick Mulhern said ...
"I thought it was an excellent exercise against the third best side in the country. I was pleased that Rick played 11 of his first team for the first hour and considering that was Leeds first choice midfield and forward line, we coped very well. At this stage of pre-season, the result is not as important as how we go about our business on the park.
The attitude and effort from the girls was first class and should give us plenty of heart going into the next three pre-season fixtures".
