Sunderland’s fantastic Quarter Final performance against National Premier League Bristol Academy, has been rewarded by the Women’s FA Cup sponsors E.ON. 

In a thrilling encounter, the Lady Black Cats came back from a 2-0 half time deficit to book their Semi Final place, with a 4-2 victory.

Sunderland’s young stars have had an impressive league season so far and the cup run has been the “icing on the cake”. The quarter final tie was an opportunity to test themselves against an established National Premier League outfit and they rose as one to the occasion and surely in football terms “came of age” in impressive style.
