Sarah Unwin, Natalie Gutteridge and Gemma Wilson from Sunderland Ladies Football Club, were put through their paces by former world cross country champion and past winner of the Bupa Great North Run, Benita Johnson.

They were all present at the media launch of the inaugural Bupa Sunderland Great North 10k Run, which will be held on Sunday, July 12^th.  On the day, they will be joined by other members of the Sunderland Team, who will be among thousands who are expected to take part in the event which is suitable for runners of all abilities and will welcome to Sunderland world class athletes to the city, including reigning World Marathon Champion, Luke Kibet.  

The event starts and finishes at the Stadium of Light and also includes the Bupa Junior Great Sunderland Run.
