UEFA U19 CHAMPIONS
England U19 Ladies became the first female footballers from these shores to lift a major international trophy defeating Sweden Ladies 2-0 in the Final of the European Championships in Belarus on Saturday.

Three of our own successful Sunderland Ladies team played a role in the march to victory. Lucy Bronze and Jordan Nobbs featured throughout, with Nobbs scoring a delightful second goal, while Demi Stokes was an unused substitute.

England became Champions in style and did not concede a goal throughout the tournament. They were always in control of the final and totally dominated from start to finish with with Everton's Toni Duggan(32 mins) as well as our own Jordan Nobbs (37 mins) getting the goals that secured victory.

Well done girls!
