Sunderland WFC were recognised for their achievements last season at a Civic Reception held in their honour.

Following their success as League Champions, gaining promotion to the National Premier League and FA Cup Finalists, players and staff gathered in the Mayor’s Parlour in the presence of The Mayor and Mayoress of Sunderland, Dennis and Anne Richardson. Also in attendance were Leader of the Council Paul Watson and City Chief Executive Dave Smith.

It’s a great honour to be recognised in this way and all at Sunderland WFC are proud to represent the City of Sunderland as they travel the country and we all hope that our achievements last season are the beginning of even greater success.
