We now have a much younger squad and without doubt, a very talented group who have potential to do very well in this league and provide tough opposition for some well established teams in the league.
So far we have had a mixed start to the season. We maybe havent done ourselves justice in the league standing so far and have been on the wrong side of some results. In certain games the score hasnt reflected the game itself and we need to make sure we work hard and put right those wrongs.
Some experienced players who played for us last year are still here and they will be key to helping the younger players find their feet this season. Led by Lynsey Fletcher, we aim to continue to mature as a side and finish as high up the league as possible.
We must start producing results that match our performances and carry belief in our ability into every game.
This weekend will see us travel to Nottingham Forest, who will be tough and shouldnt be underestimated. We know a lot about them, they have a good set up, with manager Hedley Saunderson doing a good job down there and they have a talented squad. They are just above us in the table with a few games in hand, so it would be nice if we could close the gap on them.
We hope this weekend will see us start to get the results we know we are capable of.
Mark Pae Reserve Team Manager
After a brilliant season last year, we were unfortunate to lose a number of players from the side that won the league, said Reserve Team Manager Mark Pae.
We lost some players to University, work and others decided to hang up their boots and go out on such a high. We have however managed to replace them with a mixture of girls. Some have progressed from the centre of excellence, others had successful trials with the club during the summer, another returned to the club after spending a number of years in America and we also brought back a goalkeeper who played for us a few years ago.
