Alnwick Town welcomed Sunderland Women and Winona State University from the USA for a showcase match to help develop female football in the area.
 
The game took place at Alnwick Town FC's St James' Park with Sunderland winning the game 12-0 in their end of season friendly.
 
Winona State University have just started their pre-season build up and Sunderland WFC would like to wish them every success for their new season and hope they enjoy the remainder of their stay in England. 

We would also like to wish good luck to Lucy Bronze, Jordan Nobbs, Lucy Staniforth and Demi Stokes, four Sunderland Players travelling to Macedonia for the forthcoming England Women’s U19 UEFA Championship Finals.
