Sunderland travelled to Reading this Sunday and were 1-0 up at half time with a goal from Kelly McDougall on 41minutes. The home team equalised on 65 minutes through Mikaela Howell.
The draw puts Sunderland into second place in the Women's Premier League, three points behind Blackburn Rovers who they welcome to the Hetton Centre next Sunday, 17th October.
The reserves were beaten 3-1 at Leyburn Grove, by top of the table Doncaster Rovers Belles Reserves. Sunderland played some good football and were rewarded with a superb 30 yard free kick, from Charlotte Potts.
